For 8 years I worked in Richmond, California with children and adolescents with challenging behaviors such as violence, self harm, and property destruction. I worked with adults of all ages in a partial hospitalization program in Oakland, California. These people were experiencing severe emotional disturbances. I briefly provided counseling and case management with unhoused individuals and families in Marin County. For 2 years I counseled parents in a pediatrics department in the East Bay, working directly with primary care physicians to give parents more information about child development and support their efforts in raising happy, healthy children.
